What does an exotic fried potato and a migrant woman have in common? In this provocative performance I propose this analogy. While on a screen the audience can read the story about "Maria, the potato who migrated to the United States" I draw a mandala with kilos of potato chips displayed on the floor. Then, I invite the participants to dance barefoot on top of the potato chips mandala creating a festive atmosphere. In a moment, a projected stopwatch appears and I must collect the each one of the thousands of potato chips scattered in space. Order. Clean. Work. I do not achieve my task within the time frame so when the alarm sounds, as punishment, I swallow pennies.
